Value chain analysis of Maziwa Lala in Kenya: Insights from CIRAD, Wageningen University, and University of Nairobi

Colleagues from CIRAD, Wageningen University and the University of Nairobi visited several farms in Kenya that oversee the entire production process of Maziwa Lala, from cattle farming and breeding to dairy processing, including yogurt production. Their mission also included visits to cooperatives, smallholder processors selling Maziwa Lala, and the University of Nairobi’s laboratory, where students were actively isolating mycotoxigenic moulds from raw materials.
